 The King's Parish was started in June 1999, following the leading of God upon Pastor Phillip Oyetunji to start a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in Hackney, East London.
The Parish started with about forty members including children and, to the glory of God, it has now grown to a large congregation and have given birth to many other Parishes. The present areas of focus of the Church have been on Revival and the move of God in this land of Great Britain.
We are therefore a Praying Church, for Jesus Himself said, "My House shall be called a House of Prayer." God has proved Himself faithful as shown by various wonderful testimonies from the members.
We are interested in joining with other churches to pray and intercede for this our land until there is a revival of God and of righteousness again in this nation that has such a rich history of great men of God and kings who loved and served Him passionately, and who brought the hand of God down for good upon their generation. We are also interested in the restoration of families and godly children and youth.
The ten-fold mission statement of the Church is as follows:
General
To get to heaven.
To take as many as possible with us.
To make holiness our lifestyle.
To plant churches within 5 minutes walking distance in developing countries and 5 minutes driving distance in developed countries.
Not to stop until all nations are reached for Jesus Christ our Lord.
Specific
The Church shall be a house of prayer for all nations.
It shall be a centre of revival and a move of God, the Holy Spirit.
We shall preach Jesus Christ not only by the spoken word but also by our lifestyle.
We shall make disciples of all nations, and
We shall preach the Love of Christ.
