INTRODUCTION
In this series of studying 2009 Prophecy given by the General Overseer, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, we have been able to look at what is joy to whom would joy be made available, instances of people who experienced Joy in the scriptures.
Today’s study considers whether God can indeed give joy and what can I do to bring Joy into my life.

CENTRAL BIBLE TEXT: PSALM 16:1-11

A. CAN GOD INDEED GIVE JOY?
God can indeed give joy for many reasons. Let’s consider the three main ones:

1. God is described as my exceeding Joy. Every thing about Him brings joy.
Ps. 43:4-5; Ps. 42:4; Ps. 16:11; Acts 2:28; Ps. 148:1-2.

2. God two great objectives of redemption are:
(1) Relationship. He is working to the end that one may legally become His child, a partaker of His very nature so that man will be genuine heir and joint heir with Jesus, the second objective is to restore to man his lost fellowship. That is why He sent Jesus Christ to carry out the redemption plan so that you and I can have opportunity into His presence where we can enjoy the fullness of joy. He has now redeemed us through Jesus Christ unto Himself.
Jn. 3:16; Eph. 2:1-6; Gal. 4:4-7; 1 Cor. 5:17-18; Col. 1:12-14; 1 Jn. 1:3; 1 Pet. 1:3-4, 8; 2 Pet. 1:3-4; Gal. 5:22

3. He is not interested in our sorrows and pains but rather our Joy and health.
Ps. 5:11; Ps. 35:27; Jn. 16:20, 22, 24; Is. 65:18-19; Rev.21:1-4; Rom. 14:17; Rev. 1:8; Ps. 126:1-3; Jer. 31: 13; Jer. 32:17-18; Jer. 33:0-11; Is. 61:1-3; Is. 65:17-19
